- The world of hospitality, leisure and tourism is growing as never before and is one of the UK's most important industries: the 32.7 million visitors who came to the UK in 2006 spent £16 billion!
- Hospitality management continues to be one of the fastest growing careers in the marketplace. By 2017, the hospitality industry is expected to create 262 billion jobs worldwide (World Travel & Tourism Council, 2007).
- Choose from a dozen exciting fields: Hotel Management, Marketing, Real Estate, Hospitality, Information Technology, Trade Fairs, Travel Agencies, Resorts, Airlines... and many more.
- You will be at the interface of industry, commerce, travel and culture
Does Travel and Tourism link particularly well with other subjects?
The answer is yes. It combines really well with Business Studies, Medicine, Law, Psychology, Sports, Modern Languages and English amongst others.
Where might it lead me?
Our Travel and Tourism courses will allow you to develop a wide range of skills that are important in the workplace and will help increase your employability. IT, research, time management, teamwork, communication and customer service skills are all vital components of the course.
